Local graduates to benefit from MOFAZ

Every year, hundreds of thousand graduates from both local public and private learning institutions have always feared for not getting employed. To address this issue, MOFAZ has come out with a brilliant idea to provide an avenue for unemployed graduates to earn a living themselves. Instead of joining the workforce as employees, the graduates are encourage to be entrepreneurs by taking part in the Graduate Programme to Business (GP2B) as initiated by MOFAZ.

According to MOFAZ, they will be providing support in terms of business advice and monitoring for the graduates who aspire to start their own businesses. MOFAZ has created prototypes of vehicles that are modified from a Momos 125cc motorbike to cater to nine different types of businesses. The motorbikes are modified to attach side-cars for the food business such as burger, mobile mini market supplies, ice-cream and even foremen services for broken down vehicles.

These vehicles have also caught up on the earth-friendly trend - attaching solar-panelled roofs to generate electricity for their business. I think this is a very smart approach towards creating an energy-efficient vehicle, simultaneously protecting the environment.

I personally think it is a very noble effort by MOFAZ to curb the unemployment issue that our nation faces. Opportunities are created every time but are the graduates willing to do such jobs? As far as I know, most graduates expect to work in an air-conditioned office, without breaking a sweat to earn a living. How well does this program work for the Malaysian unemployed youth, this I have see in the long term.
