I received an email from a cousin about a man with a knack for wood carving. He made a whole Ferrari out of a block of wood, and a Beetle too! I have no reference on who the person is but the picture is copyrighted by a website called Sambacraft.com.

I just watched the news on TV and was shocked to know that the Malaysian government will reduce fuel subsidies considering the fact that global oil prices have reached a high of USD96.37 a barrel (Source: NYMEX) There will be a RM0.40/litre increase on the current RM1.92/litre to the new rate of RM2.32/litre come 2008. The rate of increase is not confirmed as it is merely speculation based on the news on TV.
The latest baby from Mazda China was revealed recently at the 2007 Guangzhou Motorshow – the Mazda2 (Demio in Japan) The mini-sedan is produced by Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd in Nanjing, China. There will be a 4-doors sedan and a 5-doors hatchback version to be sold in the booming Chinese market in January 2008.
New kid on the block to prowl the Chinese streets
The all-new Honda Stream has finally arrived on Malaysian shores. Sporting a modern and dynamic styling, the 7-seater MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) was first introduced in Japan more than a year ago and is now available here at all authorized Honda dealers nationwide.
The launch was held at a stylish restaurant called Saloma situated along Jln Ampang towards opposite of Rennaisance Hotel. Very elegant setting and lots of food and people. It was a hi-tea specially for the media and all Honda dealers and distributors.

I went to check out the Mazda Fighter pick-up truck some 4 mths ago at a Mazda showroom in Jalan Ampang. There were a few of them on display and are going for a good bargain. The salesperson said that the trucks on display are the remaining few to be disposed at a very discounted price. I cant recall but it was around RM86k for a fully-kitted exterior and some interior refinements. No test drive was given for some reason but I was satisfied with it. Looking at the whole outlook of the truck, it has no match with the Ford Ranger TDCi that I took it for a test run months ago.

I have not driven a Volkswagen before. The only Volkswagen that I have sat on was the Beetle back in the early 90s and it was owned by my discipline teacher! I remembered his car had red and black designs painted on a solid white foundation. The seats were all bouncy too.
A sporty, muscular car not for the faint-hearted
Based on a posting by Paul Tan, Proton has in the pipeline agreed to work closely with Iran and Turkey to produce Islamic cars for their respective countries. The cars will tailored to be more Muslim-friendly for the public of the said countries.
