Knight Rider’s new K.I.T.T. is a Ford Mustang
Our beloved car from the hit 80s TV series, Knight Rider, the KITT car will make a comeback in next year in February for the American audience. The original actor of Michael Knight, David Hasselhoff, will not be playing the role but will make a guest appearance in the sequel. Forget about who will be replacing the actors, lets talk about KITT!

Be intimidated by KITT’s new muscles
KITT stands for Knight Industries Two Thousand, a fictional computer that controls the car of the movie, the Pontiac Trans AM T-Top. Back then, it was the voice of William Daniels. Why am I telling you this is because the new Knight Rider will NOT have the same person to do the voice of KITT, instead, Will Arnett will do it. Hope he does it as good, if not better, than his predecessor.

KITT will appear in a new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR with a big grunt at 550 horsepower! There will be 3 cars used to play KITT - a driverless, remote-controlled version (controllable up to a mile), KITT Hero (an every day car) and KITT Attack, the super hi-speed car. The car is not complete without the signature ‘red scanner lights’, this time snugly fitted on the hood of the Mustang.

Another impression - KITT’s cabin
In the new series, KITT, being the coolest car ever on TV, the supercomputer in it is able to remotely hack into any computer systems and its body is able to change colours and shape, thanks to nanotechnology. With articifial intelligence in KITT, this would be the ultimate weapon in fighting crime, a dream (come true) for today’s police force.

I still miss this baby!
One of the 4 senior KITT cars are on sale now at Kassabian Motors of Dublin, California, USA. The car will not be able to talk, soar in the air or drive itself, and is going for USD150,000 (about RM510,000) It also come complete with the infamous ’scanner light’ at the nose of the car.
Also, the car cannot be driven on roads because of some missing modifications required by US law and also the amount of emission it produces. Due to the above facts there are, so far, no takers for the car.
