Fuel price dropped but its not seeing better days on the road
I dont know about you but since the recent reduction in Malaysian fuel prices, the number of cars on the road quadrupled by the hour! Even before the day of announcement, the looming news about the price cut for the past weeks had seen many new vehicles, especially, were mushrooming like no other business! So much for prudent spending!

The grind is taking its toll on us, significantly!
It was a late nite for me yesterday, and as I was coming back from Ampang heading towards Tmn Connaught highway, the roads were so heavy with cars and more cars. Sure, Wednesdays is where the pasar malam spread is in Tmn Connaught but then again, traffic was horrendously congested even up to the inner residential roads. Cars can be seen parked double or even triple alongside the Tmn Connaught stretch.
And even heading to work this morning from Cheras to towards Sri Hartamas via Jln Duta was such a drag; the jam started as early as Istana Negara right up to the hill-climbing exit to Jln Damansara. I makes me queer as to why does it get so congested on every Thursdays for the past couple of months…why ah?
Car sales is seeing a slump (since October 2008) but looking at cars with registration plates starting with WSB xxxx, it goes to show that Malaysia is not affected at all at the recent global economic downturn. Are we being oblivious of whats happening to this world? Or have we come to a realisation that, ‘hey, we only live once so why save so much money and not spending it for our own enjoyment’ notion?
Maybe you can enlighten me with your 2 cents worth?

the traffic in KL during a supposedly “low traffic” school holidays is actually worse then the traffic 2 months ago & there seems to be heavy traffic late into the night these days.
KL Anon – could not agree more…seriously..even at my housing area..9am you still could see car’s going bumper to bumper!! ( btw, am living next to highway… i can see traffic till batu 3 toll)
It seems worse after the CNY holiday..where the hell did the car’s came from la?
