Short test drive report on 9th August 2010:

The car is smaller than the Suzuki Swift (view test drive report and promotion) and can fit 4 adults snugly. On first drive, the car feels abit heavy but as you press on further, the speed goes up pretty fast. Very smooth and quiet acceleration for such a small engine. The interior gives you the feeling of security as if you are enclosed in a hard shell, the things you dont get inside the Myvi or Viva.

I am a 6-footer and only qualify as a driver because if I sit at the back, I will have to tilt my head – the roofline gets lower at the back. Legroom is just nice for small-framed passengers. Seats are comfortable enough for long journeys but I must say, Suzuki didnt add in the seat adjuster for the driver to increase height. Unless you have a long torso, not-so tall women will find it a bit difficult to view the front for this Alto.

There is no glovebox on the dashboard but there is a huge  ‘pocket’ to store essential items like a lady’s handbag, magazines, tissue boxes, etc. Steering is light and is suitable for women drivers. Best part is, the car can fit most tight parking spots!

I could not stress further that this car is meant for women drivers aged between 17 to 50s because the car is easy to drive in towns, to work, or even to the market because of its size. Parents who are considering to get a safe and sturdy car must consider the Suzuki Alto – the car gives you peace of mind, thanks to its fully loaded safety features. And being a Suzuki, it does not harm your wallet as the small cc of the car saves you alot of money in fuel.
