Short test drive report on 9th August 2010:
The car is smaller than the Suzuki Swift (view test drive report and promotion) and can fit 4 adults snugly. On first drive, the car feels abit heavy but as you press on further, the speed goes up pretty fast. Very smooth and quiet acceleration for such a small engine. The interior gives you the feeling of security as if you are enclosed in a hard shell, the things you dont get inside the Myvi or Viva.
I am a 6-footer and only qualify as a driver because if I sit at the back, I will have to tilt my head – the roofline gets lower at the back. Legroom is just nice for small-framed passengers. Seats are comfortable enough for long journeys but I must say, Suzuki didnt add in the seat adjuster for the driver to increase height. Unless you have a long torso, not-so tall women will find it a bit difficult to view the front for this Alto.
There is no glovebox on the dashboard but there is a huge ‘pocket’ to store essential items like a lady’s handbag, magazines, tissue boxes, etc. Steering is light and is suitable for women drivers. Best part is, the car can fit most tight parking spots!
I could not stress further that this car is meant for women drivers aged between 17 to 50s because the car is easy to drive in towns, to work, or even to the market because of its size. Parents who are considering to get a safe and sturdy car must consider the Suzuki Alto – the car gives you peace of mind, thanks to its fully loaded safety features. And being a Suzuki, it does not harm your wallet as the small cc of the car saves you alot of money in fuel.

AMG: Minimum downpayment is the exact 10% of the total price, example RM56,501.20 x 10% = RM5650 is the exact downpayment amount. Normal service is around RM190 but will go up as the car grows older (more than 5 years) and it is normal for other cars. More details have been emailed to you. Please check.

I found out that the manual version doesn’t have the fog lamp and the tachometer.Is it possible to add these two items into the car when I order one? White looks nicer, cause it gives the impression that the car is slightly BIGGER in size. Pink is cool too. But i notice, if without body skirt, the car wouldn’t be that awesome (in terms of look), but to add the skirting and stuffs, the price will become 56 k ++! wow. I saw on line ppl selling body kit accesosories at just RM 1200. maybe gonna buy the basic one and add skirting later

AMG: Syaratnya ialah apabila gaji anda tidak boleh menampung bayaran bulanan kereta iaitu RM550 (lebih kurang). Amaun RM550 ini mestilah 1/3 daripada gaji bulanan anda. Maksudnya, jika gaji anda adalah RM1,800 sebulan maka RM1,800/3=RM600 maka anda boleh layak mendapat pinjaman kereta. Jika anda layak, anda tidak perlu dapatkan penjamin untuk anda. Penjamin hanya diperlukan jika gaji anda tidak memenuhi syarat 1/3 untuk menampung beban bayaran bulanan tersebut.

Andy: Hi, you can still finance the loan with your amount of salary. The banks can give you loan if your repayment is 1/3 of your total salary. FOr RM1,800 salary, you have RM600 maximum to pay for the car loan. You dont really need guarantor for this loan as you are already working (more than 3 months got?) Andy: I am afraid you cannot apply for the loan with your offer letter. You need to show 3 months proof of your salary only will allow you to apply for the loan. If you want, you can get your dad or mom as a guarrantor to get the loan now. Yes, downpayment is the RM5,000+ (10%) and for 5-years financing is RM789/month while 7 years financing is RM564.
