Tell me, how many of you who drives a car, at some point, send out or reply SMSes while driving? I’m pretty sure many would admit they did, yours truly included.
But do we know what are the dangers of texting on the steering wheel when we should be focusing on the big screen upfront and the three other little screens around it? And now with mobile Twitter, the keypad on the phone gets hotter!
TEXT: Oh, I miss u so much baby..can u gv me a bk rub 2nite..? Oh wait, I overturned d wheel!
When mobile phones came to existence some 20 years ago (already??) those who talk while driving must have, at some point, escaped near-death experiences, or worse, ended up on a tree. Talking on the phone while driving was as serious a social issue as to drinking and driving. But now, texting has been one of the many road killers besides alcohol, stray dogs or even crashed satellites.
One famous celebrity plastic surgeon pop into heaven quite prematurely in California, USA. Dr. Frank Ryan was texting while driving and probably was too engrossed in it that he forgot to turn the wheel and ended up shooting over a cliff. That was it, he crash together with his dog who miraculously survived the mishap.
More story of Dr. Frank, who did Heidi Montag‘s full-body corrections, in this article HERE.
The same scenario, I presume, happens in Malaysia too but we dont hear of such stories maybe because investigations wasn’t thorough or maybe it was all covered up for fear of blaming the telcos for such technologies.

I know, its a suggestive image but hey, it’s not safe either!
No matter what, my advice is that, you have control of your phone. In this sense, your loved one can wait but not the Grim Reaper. He is always on the standby for you. So, be wise and tell him to take a hike – put that phone down and have both your hands on the wheel, will ya?
