Living in KL and the areas surround it is like living in a big maze. Everyday, KLites have to wade thru these mazes just to get from Point A to Point B.
Sometimes one have to mind map for the brain to calculate, estimate, etc just to avoid the horrendous traffic jam caused by either flood waters, broken pipes, collisions, or nothing at all because of too many cars coming at once at a time. It is a chore you wish never to happen.
Yes, it’s in English.. only that in a much relaxed manner
Perhaps there is a better way to do this. I have to thank the people behind this new way of traffic alerts system, powered by Twitter. You dont need to be a Tweeter to enjoy this service (but who is stopping you?) and all you need to do is bookmark in your Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox these URLs – http://www.twitter.com/kltraffic and http://twitter.com/kltrafficupdate
This page gives you real-time traffic info of a certain road in KL/SEL usually during the peak hours of traffic jam or when there is anything of the unusual like accidents, fallen objects, etc. The noble part of this is that these alerts are sent by other Tweeters (or Tweeples) who could be on-location or nearby the affected road/area. What a great way to share information, in the spirit of 1Malaysia, too!
In fact, its a great source of info especially now during the Ramadhan season because you can get tips about men in uniform cari makan providing their service to road users on broad daylight too. You can also get info on roadblock locations too.

Drive safe, guys. Speed not only kills, it sucks you dry too..
If you observe the word #klrb and this is called a hashtag. Hashtags are useful when you search for a certain hot topic in Twitter. So, a hastag = topic/subject. If you are an online marketer, hashtags are your best friends! More on hashtags, HERE.
So, there, a useful tool that can help you in planning for your journey around KL/SEL. If you have a mobile phone, log on to the same website and watch the alerts come in. I must stress the word ‘watch’ and no, you shouldn’t reply them or else you could end up like THIS.
And since you are already in Twitter, how about following my tweets @ndmervin
Say ‘Hi’ when you get there!
