Where on Earth do we find the most number of bicycle users? China, of course! But times have changed..
We dont see or hear news about these two-wheelers in China anymore. Since they opened doors to the world, four-wheelers rolled in (pun intended) and now Volkswagen is China’s top passenger vehicle producer (source) in the world.
China’s growth is so freaking fast that the trusty two-wheelers cant catch up with these motored vehicles (figuratively speaking).
So, does anyone knows where do these bicycles end up at?

African mat rempits in the making? Possible..
Perhaps they are being refurbished and reconditioned to be sold in other developing nations. Like how we drool at reconditioned (or recond) cars in open-air showrooms in the Klang Valley, these bicycles will be someone else’s ‘golden goose’ – a tool to earn a living, especially in Africa.
It’s not happening, as yet, but this is what I think it should be.. perhaps it’s happening.. I don’t know.
Frederick Day and his brother Stanley thought that these bicycles could change the lives of those in third world countries like Zambia.
Because motorised vehicles are almost impossible to own due to high cost, the Day brothers believe the conventional bicycle can help in building cash for these Zambians.
Find out how the brothers ‘put money’ into the pockets of the Africans in this story.
Zambians can now earn money, and the Day brothers make theirs, and same time changing people’s live – two wheels at a time
